Former tea seller Manikandan is from a large farming family in Tamil Nadu. Through a chance encounter with an employee of Jana Small Finance Bank, he applied for a CREC role and has been with the bank for two years now. He believes in doing justice to tasks that are assigned to him without expecting any rewards in return. Even while attaining professional successes, he has not forgotten his farming roots, and goes back to his village in his free time to help the family.
